Company History:

Formed in 1998 with roots firmly anchored in Entebbe municipality, Greenfields grew out of a container to become a modern fish processing plant.

Greenfields became the first establishment in Uganda to export fillets of Nile Perch, and has expanded dramatically over the years from its humble beginning. In March 1997, the factory was upgraded to the required European Union standards.

Having started with a production capacity of approximately two tons per day and a workforce of 20, Greenfields now has a targeted capacity of over 25 tons per day and employs more than 200 workers.

Over the same period, the company has moved from a traditional quality control approach to full implementation of a comprehensive quality management system.
