Greenfields is expanding its production capacity, from the present 25 tons per day to 40 tons per day. The company has completed the first step towards this target, by establishing a second blast-freezing unit.
In May 2002, Greenfields increased its production of ice from 36 tons to 58 tons per 24 hours. By September 2002, Greenfields' new IQF capacity of approximately ten tons of finished product per day will be in place.
Extension of processing area by October 2002.
Additional floor space and storage of approximately 1000m² is being added to the present set-up to accommodate the 40-ton per day capacity. This will make it possible to increase daily production to 40 tons of raw materials processed and add a production unit entirely focused on value added products.
