Company Profile:
In the late 1980s Greenfields developed Uganda's first fish processing plant in the outskirts of Entebbe garden town. Strategically located on the shores of Lake Victoria, the factory is five kilometres from Uganda's fully refurbished airport, and one kilometre from the company's approved landing harbour.
The company has its own potable water treatment station, effluent treatment plant, fleet of vehicles, and modern processing plant with top of the line chilling and freezing facilities. Greenfields has the ability to successfully serve worldwide destinations.
The company produces 60 tons of ice daily. Maintaining the cold chain right from the fishing grounds through production line is an absolute priority.
The key to Greenfields' rapid growth rests on three main pillars:
- Highly trained and motivated workforce.
- Around the clock attention to the prime freshness of both chilled and frozen fillets/portions.
- Permanent communication and creative relationship with customers.
